      Italian energy company Enel, through its energy services division Enel X and is US subsidiary EnerNOC has signed an agreement with Algoma Orchards of Ontario, Canada to install a 1MWh lithium-ion battery storage system. Enel’s DEN.OS software will optimise the battery use, with the aim to boost financial savings from managing Ontario’s Global Adjustment (GA) charges and to enhance Algoma Orchards’ participation in the demand response programme by Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
