      San Diego Gas & Electric‘s clean energy strategy is advancing with contracts for five new battery facilities in the San Diego area providing a total of 84 megawatts of backup storage.       Energy Supply Expert is New SDG&E President

      Scott Drury succeeded Jeff Martin this week as president of San Diego Gas & Electric, the utility announced Tuesday. Drury was most recently the firm’s chief energy supply officer. Martin was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer at the San Diego-based parent company Sempra Energy.SDG&E announced in September that the moves would occur. “It’s an exciting time to be in the energy business,” Drury said. “At SDG&E, we’re inspired by the opportunity to improve the lives of our customers, and the communities where we live and work, by building the cleanest, safest, most reliable energy company in America.”
