      New Mexico Electric Cooperative Will Soon Supply Customers 100% Through Solar

      Kit Carson Electric Cooperative (KCEC) has finalized an agreement with Torch Clean Energy to purchase and develop two new solar and storage facilities for a total of 21 MW of additional solar capacity and 15 MW of storage capacity. With the completion of these installations, KCEC will surpass the 35 MW required to meet its goal of 100% daytime solar energy — originally set for the year 2022 — up to nine months earlier than anticipated.

      EDP Renewables is Planning 130-MW Solar+Storage Project in California

      EDP Renewables and East Bay Community Energy have reached an agreement on a 20-year PPA totaling 100 MW of solar and 30 MW of storage that will bring the Sonrisa Solar Park to California’s Fresno County. The Sonrisa Solar Park is expected to be operational in 2022 and will jobs and money spent in local communities. The Sonrisa Solar Park, which will be comprised of both solar and storage technologies, is EDP Renewables’ first multi-technology project in North America.

Sunverge is an open platform for creating a grid-aware energy source from fleets of behind-the-meter Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).
