    Brazil Energy Storage R&D Project Scheme Draws Strong Interest

    Around 90 companies, including EDF, Enel and Engie, have expressed interest in financing and implementing research and development (R&D) projects relating to energy storage integration in Brazil, according the country’s energy regulator ANEEL. Interested companies can submit project proposals before 22 December this year, with results of an initial evaluation released on 20 February 2017. Companies will then have four years to complete the projects. Other companies noted by ANEEL included Guascor Brazil, Eletrobas, Petrobas, Companhia Paulista de Forca e Luz and AES Eletropaulo.
