    Nebraska $8M CAES test

    Nebraska Public Power District will spend $8M+ on a 1 year compressed air storage test 3,000 ft under ground.  Fourteen compressors will inject 3B cu ft of air over a six-month period.  The test will determine whether the formation will support 830 to 1,000 lbs/sq inch pressure over a long period of time.  The project will begin in 2014, and will generate electricity if successful.
